The author is fully able to convey the feelings and aspirations of fellow Afghans with candor and style, being an Afghan herself. Her family migrated from Afghanistan in the nineteenth century.

She has written books for children that have been published in Pakistan and, in some institutions, has formed part of the curriculum of certain schools there.

Positive reviews of her books can be seen in the literary section of the English newspaper Dawn, which currently has the widest readership and circulation within Pakistan.

She has two sons and two daughters. She and her husband spend their time between Lahore Pakistan, London UK, and New York, USA.

Bound Labor, is the main idea of this novel. It discusses the problems of bricks-factory labor and their children. The outcome of this novel is the education can overcome these problems. 

Chuppa Dushman

Chuppa Dushman, highlights the problem of that is Tuberculosis, and creates awareness regarding the prevention of TB and getting early treatment. She believes children can do wonders if they are properly guided about tuberculosis as they grasp things quickly.

 

Sarab kay Sodagar

Drug Abuse is a major problem for today's society, ravaging family values. The author suggests early efforts will be of great importance to quit drug addiction. In this way, a family can escape from being destroyed. 

 

 

Doulat ki Tapish

In this novel,  the author discusses the problem that today's society is facing,  excess money. This money is causing a decrease in family values, moral values and hard work. Peoples are becoming uncaring and materialistic.

This book has got certificate of commendation from National book Foundation for promotion of children literature.

Manzil

Afzal is the young son of a brick kiln worker who is forced to quit school and work at the kiln, because his father falls ill. A group of children between the ages of 13-16 years from well-off families have formed a youth club and they get to know about his predicament. They set out to help Afzal.
